A sagging of the tissue or skin is a sign of aging or the result of greater weight loss. This can also lead to excess skin and tissue on the upper arms. Especially with patients, this is more often the case and can cause you to be uncomfortable. The excess tissue and sagging skin can be reduced and tightened with the help of an upper arm lift, so that patients can look forward to shapely arms again.

Before the upper arm lift, the armpit is carefully shaved and the planned incision is recorded on the arm raised at a 90° angle. In order to tighten sagging upper arms, an upper arm lift usually involves making an incision on the inside of the upper arm, which runs above the elbow up to the armpit. This longitudinal scar is not visible when the arm is applied after surgery. In the case of larger skin or fat tissue excesses, an additional, transverse incision in the armpit is necessary in order to bring about the desired tightening result through the so-called brachioplasty. If the skin is still sufficiently elastic, the remaining fatty tissue can also be thinned out by liposuction. As with the other skin tightening, the excess skin is also removed and tightened during the upper arm tightening.
